Under the aegis of Dyal Singh Library Trust Society
Dewan Anand Kumar, son of Raja Narendra Nath, was an eminent Educationist. He was
amongst the early Vice Chancellors of Panjab University, Chandigarh and the
founder Member of University Grants Commission of India.
Earlier the institutions founded in pursuance of the 'WILL' of Sardar
Dyal Singh Majithia were located at Lahore in undivided India. It was the visionary
and untiring effort of Dewan Anand Kumar, who established the institutions afresh in independent India, at
Delhi. The vision was to integrate "The wisdom of the East and the West" and to spread it to build a well informed
society. Today the institutions established by him have blossomed into a multi-faceted chain of institutions in northern India.
